About Us
Nestled in the Kildare Countryside, in a converted farm building, Darren Cullen has been crafting bespoke furniture for over 20 years. In 2019, he was asked to produce several storage boxes for a client, made of solid wood, with a classic design and hand-engraved with each of the customer's children's names. They needed to be durable, practical, yet beautiful and elegant. Darren produced boxes that were loved by all who saw them. After showcasing these boxes for the next few months, they were so popular that in 2021 Darren decided to concentrate on these and set up The Irish Wooden Box Company.We want customers to feel special. That's why we source our materials carefully and sustainably. We put the time into building each box to perfection with solid pine, hand carve the lettering on the boxes, and hand spray the panels. Each box is unique to the customer.
